Prime Day 2024 is finally over!

Are you happy with your performance this year?

Prime Day Overview

Overall, Amazon boasted this year's Prime Day as another 'record-breaking year', with deals across 35 categories within the 2-day sale.

"Prime Day 2024 was a huge success thanks to the millions of Prime members globally who turned to Amazon for fantastic deals, and our much-appreciated employees, delivery partners, and sellers around the world who helped bring the event to life for customers," said Doug Herrington, CEO of Worldwide Amazon Stores.

Prime Day has continued to grow exponentially over the past 5 years, with this year's event selling over 42 Billion dollars of product and an annual 11.1% year-over-year growth, according to Adobe Analytics.

The back-to-school and technology categories saw larger lifts than usual, with the later July Prime Day dates potentially helping shoppers score new deals.

Prime Day 2024: The Numbers

Let's see how SUG's clients performed!

Some additional interesting points:

  • There was little difference between many of these metrics between Day 1 and 2 of Prime Day, meaning consumers kept on shopping!
  • While ad spend and cost per click went down, we're excited to see that the average SUG client grew more than the Amazon/Prime Day average growth rate
